To assume that there are
patterns in a pond and not in a human life would be arrogance
indeed. It is very hard to see the patterns in a life for most of
them come from unconscious sources.
There is no destiny, no
predetermined fate but there are patterns in the complexity of
all our lives.
The patterns within our
lives reflect the structured patterns of our minds. What is
'outside', that is our lives, our habits, our history, our
dreams, are reflections of what is 'inside'. If it is important
to you, it is possible to spend a lot of time seeking these
patterns and you may well gain more control over your life as an
eventual result. I feel this to be a blind alley. Control is a
mixed blessing. The time taken to gain it would be better spent
exploring the deeper mysteries that Praxis can bring . . . .
