Patterns . . . . . .

          .

If you throw a pebble into the pond

ripples move out from where it sank

the ripples are patterns . . . . . .

To assume that there are patterns in a pond and not in a human life would be arrogance indeed. It is very hard to see the patterns in a life for most of them come from unconscious sources.

There is no destiny, no predetermined fate but there are patterns in the complexity of all our lives.

The patterns within our lives reflect the structured patterns of our minds. What is 'outside', that is our lives, our habits, our history, our dreams, are reflections of what is 'inside'. If it is important to you, it is possible to spend a lot of time seeking these patterns and you may well gain more control over your life as an eventual result. I feel this to be a blind alley. Control is a mixed blessing. The time taken to gain it would be better spent exploring the deeper mysteries that Praxis can bring . . . .
