Most people I know who
start soul searching do so because they feel that something is
missing from their lives. They are not sure what is missing but
they all seem to want a bigger more meaningful life. There will
be pain and confusion in the search, there is no such thing as an
'armchair' soul searcher. Half-hearted searchers find next to
nothing, they find more illusions. But this does not mean that
the search has to be deadly serious and sombre, you are not
signing up to be a monk or a nun, you are looking for more
life, not less.
All the people I know
who have travelled far down the soul searching road become
playful. You do not have to sit in a cave for ten years staring
at the wall, flogging yourself, literally or psychologically.
Discipline that works is something you find, rather than impose
artificially. The soul is light, in all meanings of the
word. But at the end of the day, you will need to choose a
technique and apply it until . . . . .
until you know . . . . .
This may help:
- have you chosen a
technique?
- if you have not
chosen a technique, why not?
- are you ever going
to choose a technique?
- if you have chosen
a technique and it is not working
. . . .are you going
to change it for another? when?
- if you have chosen
a technique but do not know if
. . . it is working
or not, just carrying on but do more of it !
good luck.
These 18 pages have
concentrated on the techniques of Praxis. Praxis is the best
technique I know. Good luck with it, or whatever technique you
choose.
The remaining nine pages
offer supporting observations and
a final summary called
"Wholething".
